What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at POTENTE?
POTENTE is a team of talented professionals with open minds and an honest, business-forward approach to law. We serve as general counsel and strategic advisors to companies and investors around the world across a wide range of industries. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Remote Associate Attorney to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate brings experience in Business and Corporate Transactional Law, including entity formation and governance, enterprise development, contract drafting/negotiation, and general corporate work. Experience in trademark and intellectual property, entertainment, real estate and development, permitting and licensing, or international matters is a plus.
Because our firm is fully remote, candidates must be highly technology-savvy, quick learners with new platforms, and comfortable working in a digital, fast-moving environment. We do not offer in-person training, so the successful candidate must be self-sufficient and confident navigating remote tools, systems, and workflows. Given our current workload, we are highly motivated to onboard the right associate as soon as possible. We encourage interested candidates to apply promptly.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting and supporting senior attorneys in negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts for complex legal matters
- Conducting initial client consultations
- Working with clients on day-to-day advice and inquiries
- Managing and facilitating client communication and legal projects
- Performing administrative and management functions in relation to all aspects of projects
- Preparing and drafting legal documents (entity formations, contracts, etc.)
- Continuously building a current working knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to our clients
- Able to conduct research regarding applicable topics and regulations
- Communicating with various agencies and filing of necessary documentation
- Monitoring communications from clients at all times
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience practicing law
- Juris Doctor Degree from an Accredited Law School
- Active member in good standing with the California Bar Association
