The Vac Truck Operator is responsible for the safe transportation and operation of the vacuum truck to and from job sites, operating the machine in a safe and skillful manner, and assisting the crew as needed to successfully complete each job.
Pay: $34.60–$60.85/hr, depending on experience

What You'll Do
- Operate the vacuum truck and all associated heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Drive vehicle safely, following all rules of the road, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Ensure contents and equipment are properly secured during transportation.
- Perform daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
- Follow all on-site safety procedures and comply with OSHA, WISHA, and DOT regulations.
- Maintain the vacuum truck, tools, and equipment in clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
- Communicate effectively with Foremen, coworkers, and customers.
- Prepare required reports, including time records and job orders.
- Assist the crew in all capacities and perform additional duties as directed by the Foreman.
What You'll Bring
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
- Experience operating a vacuum truck.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong focus on quality, safety, and time management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours), regularly lift 75 pounds, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings.
- Prior experience with electric utility or EPC construction.
- Tanker endorsement on CDL.
- Forklift, Flagging, and First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Experience working around high-voltage electrical systems.
