JOB SCOPE: Supervise and provide multi-disciplinary clinical and case management services delivered by a team of clinical and administrative staff with focus of assertively engaging hard-to-reach consumers with serious mental illness. Ensure that needs of consumers, ACT program goals, and contract objectives are effectively achieved. This role involves considerable professional initiative and judgment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages day-to-day clinical operations and required productivity standards.
- Directs and coordinates consumer admission process, treatment and rehabilitation services, support services, and discharge process.
- Facilitates team and treatment planning meetings.
- Establishes and implements procedures for monitoring of workflow and promoting enhanced staff performance.
- Compiles weekly report, Service Plan e-tracker and weekly census reports to SPOA.
- Assists with conducting other required assessments with clients, such as Child and Adult Integrated Reporting System (CAIRS) reports, Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) reports, and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) eligibility assessments.
- Manages communication for MCO’s to authorize services.
- Provides direct supervision of team members, handles complaints and grievances.
- Monitor service delivery and impact of service effectiveness as well as consumer satisfaction.
- Schedules staff work hours to ensure appropriate coverage, monitors and approves timesheets.
- Assists with scheduling 24-hour crisis intervention on-call services on rotating basis.
- Participates in staff recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation and performance plans.
- Ensures the use of evidence based treatments in the areas of mental health and substance abuse to address client needs (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care)
- Sets standards of performance by overseeing all documentation to ensure quality, timeliness and accuracy, in compliance with Medicaid, NYS Office of Mental Health, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and agency standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s Degree required - LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent in licensure in NYS.
- At least two years of experience working in human services with individuals with serious mental illness and those with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Must be outcome oriented in a fast paced environment with deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience of electronic health records (specifically AWARDS by Footholds) preferred.
Salary: $85,000
Scheduled Shift: Monday- Friday 9am to 5pm
