What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician - Neurology position at Posterity Group?
Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing the 633rd Medical Group at Joint Base Langley Eustis - VA Neurology Clinic with a Neurologist. The Neurologist is expected to do the following:
- Examine, diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the nervous system.
- Provide outpatient services.
- Provide inpatient care.
- Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur.
- Perform lumbar punctures.
- Perform and interpret nerve conduction studies and electromyography.
- Performing evoked potentials and electroencephalograms.
- Provide chemodenervation (such as Botox) for common neurological conditions
Requirements
- United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Valid BLS
- at least 3 years of relevant experience
