JOB DESCRIPTION- MAIL DELIVERY SPECIALIST
Position Title: Mail Delivery Specialist
Locations: Charleston, SC and Summerville, SC
Position Overview:
The Mail Delivery Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely, and secure delivery of mail and packages. This position plays an essential role in ensuring smooth daily operations by managing mail flow, maintaining records, and representing the company with professionalism. Independent contractors, with PTO, incentives and bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, and deliver outgoing mail/packages according to scheduled routes
- Maintain delivery logs, signatures, and accurate tracking records
- Verify recipient information and ensure proper handling of sensitive or confidential materials
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding deliveries
- Ensure company equipment are maintained safe, and in working condition
- Report delivery issues, delays or discrepancies promptly to management
- Assist with logistics support duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver‘s license
- A Reliable vehicle with valid registration
- Prior experience in delivery services, courier, or logistics preferred (not required)
- Strong organizational and time management skills required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Dependable, trustworthy, and customer service oriented is a MUST.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily on-the-road driving
- Exposure to various weather conditions while delivering mail
- Pick up location at local Postal Office
