Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, sales processing, and receipts issuance
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to encourage upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and conducting regular stock checks
- Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, offering solutions or directing to appropriate team members
- Support cashiering duties including basic math calculations for transactions and processing returns or exchanges accurately
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures required
- Strong communication skills in bilingual settings are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising standards and stock management practices essential
- Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations and transaction accuracy
- Prior experience in grocery store environments is advantageous but not mandatory
