The Auto Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing passenger cars and mixed vehicle types within a small team environment. This role involves using proprietary shop software and various diagnostic tools to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. The mechanic will perform routine maintenance, component alignment, and safety inspections while documenting all work accurately to support invoicing.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections to diagnose engine, drivetrain, and other vehicle issues
- Repair or replace worn or damaged parts to maintain vehicle operation
- Conduct oil, filter, and fluid changes and other routine maintenance tasks
- Adjust and align components, including sensors, to manufacturer specifications
- Perform safety and emissions inspections as required
- Conduct diagnostic testing using proprietary and generic tools
- Document work performed and parts used for invoicing purposes
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status and repairs
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in automotive repair
- Automotive technology certificate
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with engine diagnostics, brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools
