Duties
- Sort, lift, and push moderate to heavy loads of mail and packages to prepare for delivery
- Deliver mail along assigned rural routes efficiently and accurately
- Pick up or collect mail from customers as needed
- Sell stamps and assist customers with postal services
- Use personal vehicle for delivery method, ensuring timely and safe transportation of mail and packages
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions including rain, snow, cold, and heat
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure the security of all items during transit
Requirements
- Personal vehicle suitable for delivery purposes
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as sorting, lifting, and pushing loads
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
- Dependability and punctuality in completing daily routes
