- Manage POS systems such as SQUARE POS for order entry, billing, and cash handling with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, balancing registers at shift end while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Assist in food service operations when needed, including serving food items during busy periods or special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Monitor guest behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with legal regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to create a lively atmosphere suitable for nightclubs or upscale dining settings.
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and communicating needs for restocking bar essentials.
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments; retail math skills are a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as SQUARE for efficient order processing and cash handling.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tasks seamlessly.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize duties during busy shifts without compromising quality or safety.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and inventory calculations; familiarity with retail math is advantageous.
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly within legal guidelines; knowledge of brewing processes is a bonus.
