Duties
- Operate and maintain a wide range of farm machinery, including tractors, heavy equipment, and specialized tools, ensuring optimal performance through regular inspections and repairs
- Perform equipment repair, welding, and maintenance tasks to keep machinery in top condition for daily use
- Manage livestock handling activities, including feeding, watering, health monitoring, and ensuring proper animal husbandry practices are followed
- Supervise team members during equipment operation to promote safety standards in production environments
- Assist with irrigation systems, greenhouse operations, and horticultural activities to support growing projects
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and moving supplies or livestock while adhering to safety protocols
- Support farm operations by performing basic math calculations for inventory, feed rations, or scheduling tasks
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in farm or ranch settings with the ability work in these environments.
- Hands-on experience operating farm machinery such as tractors, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to agricultural machinery repair and maintenance
- Demonstrated animal care experience with livestock management and animal husbandry skills
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and outdoor work conditions
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture practices, greenhouse management, and equipment maintenance
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding, and basic math skills for operational tasks
