Job Title: Outside Warehouse Forklift Driver
Basic Function: This entry-level position is responsible for coordinating outside warehouse operations to support production and plant shipping needs. Compliance with the facility's Food Safety and Quality Management System policies, procedures, and work instructions is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and assess the quality of all products received in the receiving area.
- Reject non-conforming products.
- Complete and maintain quality inventory and preventative maintenance documentation.
- Maintain outside grounds in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and good manufacturing practices.
- Use scanning equipment to accurately track inventory within the facility.
- Count packaging materials as requested by the manager/supervisor.
- Collaborate with operators to prevent line stoppages and improve operations.
- Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner, ensuring safety and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Help meet or exceed performance goals, including pallets/labor hour, line loading, and truck turn time.
- Interact with production, warehouse, quality control, and maintenance personnel to maximize output and efficiency.
- Perform manual labor, refill propane tanks for forklift operation, and serve as a backup to the batching department.
- Physically dump totes of rework into hopper trailers using a forklift.
- Unload c-trains.
- Report any food safety issues, plant security breaches, attempts at product tampering or contamination, and/or other suspicious behavior to the manager/supervisor.
- Complete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Daily Routine List (DRL), HACCP procedures, GMP, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) compliance.
- Maintain a food-safe sanitary environment at all times.
- Complete records/quality checks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct hourly quality checks and inspect full goods and pallets or other raw materials, as necessary.
- Monitor and track equipment downtime, equipment output, and other key metrics; perform general data entry.
- Escalate any non-conforming product/equipment/material to the appropriate manager/supervisor immediately.
- Follow the company's quality assurance procedures and protocols at all times while on duty (e.g., labeling of containers, inventory control, PM programs).
- Provide backup support for other roles as necessary.
- Be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- General warehouse experience (e.g., shipping and receiving of goods).
- Minimum two years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a solid safety record preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing desired; experience in the food or beverage industry with knowledge of GMPs preferred.
Skills:
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated good work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Continuously stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive lifting throughout the shift.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Regularly climb ladders and occasionally work at heights of up to 100 feet.
Environment:
- Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts/machinery.
- Regularly exposed to significant amounts of dust.
- Regularly exposed to moderate to severe noise levels.
- Regularly exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.

Pay: The pay range for this position is up to $22.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
