Here at Possessing the Keys of the Kingdom, we are seeking an energetic, experienced
1 Year Old LEAD TEACHER to join our growing childcare facility. In this position, you will be responsible for the early education and developmental needs of our students. You must have a background in early childhood developmental education and able to plan age-appropriate lessons to teach children through a variety of learning exercises.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas;
- Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children's development and progress as directed by administration;
- Maintain portfolio for each student;
- Change diapers/clean up after meals
- Accept and maintain responsibility on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom;
- Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of the young children.
- Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech and actions on a daily basis;
- Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a professional childcare setting
- Valid NC Driver’s License
- Exceptional patience and ability to remain calm at all times
- Excellent listening skills and an engaging demeanor
- Solid working knowledge of childhood development
- Creativity, compassion, and professionalism are a must
- Fun and enthusiastic attitude
- ·Willing to sing, dance, and “be silly” with the children
- Physically able to perform tasks, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standing
- Must be able to lift children weighing up to 30lbs regularly
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
