Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Knuckle Boom Operator to join our dynamic construction and materials handling team. Duties
- Previous experience operating a Knuckle Boom Crane (required).
- Valid CDL Driver's License.
- Current NCCCO Crane Certification (or equivalent).
- NYC Hoisting Machine Operator (HMO) License.
- Operate knuckle boom cranes with precision to lift, lower, and position materials in construction or warehouse settings
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane equipment, hydraulics, and safety systems to ensure optimal functioning
- Rig loads securely using appropriate rigging techniques before lifting or moving materials
- Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
- Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards, construction safety regulations, and company policies during all operations
- Assist with materials handling tasks including loading and unloading trucks using forklifts, backhoes, or excavators as needed
- Monitor the work environment for hazards and respond promptly to any safety concerns or incidents
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of crane systems, hydraulics, and heavy equipment operation
- Proven experience operating cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, and excavators in construction or warehouse environments
- Skilled in rigging techniques for safe lifting and load securing
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and implementation of OSHA standards
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and operate overhead cranes safely
- Excellent understanding of materials handling procedures within shipping & receiving contexts
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving processes
- Ability to work effectively in construction sites with diverse environmental conditions
