Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards in all areas
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely
- Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms
- Handle heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment with proper technique to ensure safety
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and specialized floor care techniques
- Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly using appropriate detergents while adhering to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding specific cleaning needs or concerns
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and equipment operation
- Knowledge of residential housekeeping practices and outdoor work experience preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, sanitation standards, and surface care techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with physical endurance
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the workday
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents
- Experience in carpet cleaning, dusting, floor maintenance, and general housekeeping management is advantageous
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
