Positive Alternatives is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that serves at-risk youth in Wisconsin through community-based services and group home programming.
Youth Care Workers are members of our professional care team that provide support, encouragement, direct care, and mentorship to our teenage residents living in our group homes.
Youth Care Workers work alongside residents to support achievement of treatment goals. Youth Care Workers engage with residents by participating in recreational activities, groups, meals, and other aspects of healthy and productive daily living activities while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment.
This is a 40-hours per week FT overnight position working Monday to Friday, typically between midnight and 8am. The position starts at $21.50 per hour. The starting rate is adjusted based on verified education level. There are two opportunities in the first year of employment for pay increases. This role receives PTO, paid holidays off, and a full benefit package.
We are seeking team members who have experience with:
- Caregiving
- Working in schools or childcare
- Working in law enforcement or corrections
- Working at youth camps
- Volunteering in a helping role
Some of the requirements of the position include:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Ability to navigate a computer to type and document daily activities
- Candidates for this position must complete background checks
- Candidates possessing a positive, caring, and resilient outlook do well in these roles
