In partnership with the Director of Operations and Area Clinical Director, the Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of the practice. This role helps create a collaborative, patient-centered culture while driving office efficiency, team engagement, and business results.

Key Responsibilities
Office Operations & Patient Experience
- Ensure the office delivers exceptional patient care and customer service from open to close each day
- Maintain an organized, efficient, and positive office environment that supports both patients and teammates
- Oversee daily office operations, patient flow, provider support, and scheduling coordination
- Conduct daily team huddles and proactively adjust workflows to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Address patient concerns and escalated situations promptly, professionally, and compassionately
Leadership & Team Development
- Directly supervise, coach, and develop non-clinical office teammates
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, and performance management of office staff
- Monitor team schedules, approve timesheets, and ensure compliance with training and licensing requirements
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement
- Partner with HR to address employee relations matters and support team development initiatives
Financial & Business Performance
- Monitor office production, collections, scheduling efficiency, and patient retention metrics
- Review production reports and communicate office performance goals and results with the team
- Support office profitability through operational improvements and strong financial oversight
- Manage bookkeeping functions, invoice processing, payroll preparation, cash handling, and reporting responsibilities
- Collect patient payments and ensure compliance with company cash handling policies
- Act as a subject matter expert regarding accepted insurance plans, limitations, and exclusions
Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate insurance claim submission and treatment plan processing
- Maintain advanced knowledge of practice management software systems and reporting tools
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Support front office responsibilities as needed, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and assisting patients
Qualifications
- Previous dental, healthcare, or multi-site office management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to analyze operational and financial performance metrics
- Computer literacy required; Denticon experience is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
Compensation
- $25.00 – $27.00 per hour DOE
