This is an on-site role for a CNC Set Up Machinist - Shop Lead. The position is located in Medford, NY. The CNC Set Up Machinist - Shop Lead will be responsible for setting up and overseeing machining, milling, turning, and Swiss. Helping to train new to the industry machinists while meeting production goals. This is a full-time position, but part Time, afternoon and evening hours would be considered for candidates with the right experience

Requirements:
- 5 years working in an aerospace machine shop with a good understanding of the working qualities of various metals.
- Understanding of machining processes, tooling.
- Ability to use measuring tools as required (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Good planning and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Dependable, Enthusiastic and driven to succeed
- Programming and editing experience a plus.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programs a plus.
- Turning, Swiss, and/or Milling experience required.
- Experience in CNC machine set up and operation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience holding tolerances to .0002" and .001 True Position
- Full-time. expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
