Receptionist / Self-Wash Attendant for Pet Grooming Salon

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist / Self-Wash Attendant to join our pet grooming salon on the weekends (Sat/Sun from 8am-4:30pm) to start. Additional hours will be available during the week after probation period of 90 days. This vital role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing client interactions, and supporting the daily operations of our grooming salon. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment with professionalism and compassion.

Duties

• Greet clients and visitors warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Schedule appointments and manage the salon's calendar efficiently
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about services offered
• Check clients in/out, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately upon arrival to appointment
• Assist with animal handling and restraint as needed during check-ins and check-outs
• Handle pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel duties when required
• Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or animals to ensure safety for staff and pets
• Cleaning of front office and self wash area (details will be provided at interview and/or upon hire)

Qualifications

• Previous experience in front office and customer service. Some animal handling, or pet care is preferred but not required
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to handle animals safely and comfortably
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Compassionate attitude toward animals and clients alike

Pay: $15.15 - $15.20 per hour
