Duties

• Provide expert barbering and hairstyling services, including haircuts, trims, blowouts, and styling tailored to each client’s preferences.
• Perform specialized treatments such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to enhance client looks.
• Apply color theory principles to deliver vibrant color services, including highlights, balayage, and full-color applications.
• Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
• Offer professional makeup application and nail care services to provide comprehensive beauty solutions.
• Engage with clients through excellent communication skills, understanding their needs, offering product recommendations, and upselling retail items effectively.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payments efficiently.
• Mentor junior staff members or apprentices to foster skill development within the team.
• Stay informed about current trends in hair styling, grooming techniques, and retail products to continually elevate service quality.

Experience

• Proven experience as a barber or hairstylist with a strong portfolio of diverse styling techniques.
• Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for booking and client management.
• Expertise in hair extensions, eyelash extensions, hair threading, and makeup application is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of color theory principles for safe and effective coloring services.
• Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Experience in retail sales techniques including upselling products like hair care items or cosmetics.
• Strong communication skills to connect with clients professionally and empathetically.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting in a fast-paced environment.
