Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Quality Control Technician to join our team. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing inspections, documenting and addressing non-conformances, interfacing with suppliers, and supporting production activities as needed. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and compliance of our manufacturing processes and products. Your expertise will support adherence to industry standards such as IPC610-A. You will perform inspections and analysis to uphold the highest quality systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
- Ensures Receiving Inspection and Final Inspection schedules are performed on time
- Performs inspection of parts at Receiving Inspection per specifications
- Performs inspection of parts at Final Inspection per specifications
- Discrepant Material Report (DMR) records
- 1st line of defense to address DMRs. Escalates to Product Quality Engineering as needed.
- Generates Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR) and transmits to suppliers
- Follows up with suppliers regarding open SCARs
- Conducts or participates in Supplier visits, audits, and reviews
- As a secondary focus, performs production tasks as needed to support the Production team
- Maintains a sense of urgency to make sure due dates of inspections and SCARs are being met
- Contributes to data collection supporting and reporting on Quality Performance Metrics
- Maintains inspection templates
- May be tasked with conducting or participating in auditing production processes and finished goods
- Completes other tasks and or assignments as required by management

Interfaces: Production, Shipping/Receiving, Management, Engineering, Suppliers as required.
People Managed: None
Decisions: Responsible for determining part/assembly conformance to product/process standards.
Impact of Error: Direct contribution to product quality. Direct impact on customer satisfaction.
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to use computerized systems and applications
· Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing and workmanship standards
· Knowledge of GD&T, print reading, and associated tools and gauges
· Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communications both written and verbal
· Maintains accurate and complete records
Education and or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or equivalent plus 3 years of experience in a Quality role. An Associate’s degree or equivalent experience may be considered. Experience with PCBA workmanship standards (IPC610) and GD&T are required.

Pay: $22.25 - $25.00 per hour
