Poseidon Marine Supplies was established in 1976 and is currently a major ship supplier and FRS service provider with privately owned facilities and manpower of more than 100 people. Since the beginning of 2022 the company also operates in the port of Houston with a service station for FRS, Lifeboats & Launching Appliances, Instruments Calibrations and supply of Safety Equipment.
We are currently seeking for an experienced Service Engineer for Houston, TX & New Orleans, LA.
About the job
Inspection / Service of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE).
Tasks
- Portable Fire Extinguishers
- Fixed fire suppression systems (CO2, FiFi, Water Mist, Foam)
- Foam Applicators
- SCBA
- EEBD
- Immersion suits
- Life Jackets and buoys
- Fireman Outfit
- Medical O2 resuscitators and cylinders
- Refilling and hydrotesting of cylinders
- Lifeboat and davit maintenance & repairs
- Calibration/maintenance of Gas Detectors, UTIs, Temperature & Pressure Calibrators, Fixed Gas Detection Systems, ODME, OWS
Requirements
- Experience in service of safety equipment
- Good Knowledge of FRS and / or Lifeboats and / or Calibrations
- Experience in marine industry
- Availability for travelling in nearby areas
- Will for further education and team spirit
- US Citizenship
