Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for daily service or special catering events
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely service
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety standards in production
- Support the team in cleaning duties, including dishwashing, surface sanitation, and waste disposal
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
