Duties
- Prepare and cook fried foods according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistent taste and presentation
- Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to produce menu items promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of cooking stations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to uphold food safety standards
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools thoroughly to support smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with food handling tasks such as portioning ingredients and assembling dishes for service
- Follow proper food safety protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and sanitation procedures
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times by helping with meal prep and ensuring timely delivery of orders
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry setting is preferred, especially in fast-paced environments such as restaurants or catering services
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling regulations and special dietary needs
- Knowledge of menu planning and culinary techniques enhances your ability to contribute effectively
- Fine dining or restaurant experience provides a strong foundation in food presentation and high standards of quality
- Skills in food preparation, cooking, knife handling, and meal assembly are highly valued
- Understanding of food safety practices ensures compliance with health regulations and customer safety
- Experience in catering or serving roles supports excellent teamwork and customer service skills
