Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize autonomous flight systems, including sensor data flow, vehicle missions systems, power delivery, and data networks.
- Integrate software with onboard sensors, actuators, and avionics, enabling autonomous mission execution and real-time adaptation.
- Support the creation of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other design documentation.
- Contribute to system analysis for electrical loads, software performance, and vehicle reliability.
- Assist in developing a robust test framework for avionics systems.
- Implement best practices to ensure system reliability and performance in autonomous aircraft systems.
- Collaborate with aerospace engineers, avionics engineers, and field testing teams to ensure robust software integration and reliable flight operation.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize flight software both in simulation and during field tests.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and systems.
- Knowledge of standard communication protocols such as CAN, serial, I2C, UDP.
- Experience with aircraft sensors like GPS, IMUs, thermocouples, proximity sensors.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous internship or project experience in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems.
- Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE or MATLAB/Simulink
- Hands-on experience with electronics projects or lab work.
