Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement specialized interventions for clients with anxiety, depression, self harm, PTSD, addiction issues, and other mental health concerns.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation of patient records, medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and medical records management.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health challenges or behavioral crises.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management efforts, and community resources for optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Valid NJ state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or equivalent credentialing as a Therapist or Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW).
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, and families.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and electronic health record systems.
- Experience working within hospital settings or community-based care environments is highly desirable.
- Skills in crisis management, trauma-informed care for PTSD patients, addiction counseling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop appropriate treatment plans aligned with clinical research standards.
