Job Summary And Qualifications
The exercise specialist educates and counsels patients with heart disease, diabetes, and other diseases, the at-risk population, the community, and hospital employees regarding exercise, smoking cessation, nutrition, stress management, and healthy lifestyles. They develop and modify exercise prescriptions, lead and demonstrate exercise, and supervise patients in exercise classes. The exercise specialist delivers comprehensive care and treatment of referred cardiac patients in Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation and provides supervision and support for individuals participating in the Fit for Life community exercise program.

What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors of Science with an emphasis on Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, and/or Kinesiology.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- 1-3 years experience preferred
