POSITION TITLE: Part-Time Temporary Event Support Staff REPORTS TO: Building Principal
Location: Various Secondary Schools OVERTIME STATUS: Part-time
PAY GRADE: Temporary/non-exempt
Job Description:
The district is seeking reliable and flexible Part-Time Temporary Event Support Staff to assist with a variety of school- and district- sponsored activities held at secondary schools. These positions support events that occur outside of regular school hours and may include athletic events, academic competitions, fine arts performances, and other school-related programs.
This role is ideal for individuals seeking occasional, short-term work who are able to adapt to different assignments and environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties will vary based on assignment and may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with after-school and evening events; including athletic contests and competitions.
- Working concession stands during school-sponsored events
- Serving as event staff or support personnel for performances, competitions, or programs.
- Supporting judges, coordinators, or event organizers as needed
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and professional environment during events
- Following school and district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements as required by the assignment
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Sufficient vision, hearing, and communication ability to safely perform assigned duties
