Must be a current substitute teacher to serve in this role.
POSITION TITLE: INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITATOR REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL
OVER-TIME STATUS: NON-EXEMPT PAY: $125.00 DAILY RATE
JOB SUMMARY:
Position is responsible for teaching the assigned subject and enabling each student to pursue
his/her education in the absence of the regular teacher.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
? Reports to the designated individual upon arrival at the school
? Reviews lesson plans and schedules to be followed during the day
? Maintains established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned
? Teaches the lesson plans outlined by the regular classroom teacher
? Assumes responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior in class, during lunch and in other activity periods
? Maintains maximum supervision of assigned students at all times
? Reports in writing on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day
? Follows all policies, rules and procedures
? Remains in the building during the hours assigned as a substitute
? Models non discriminatory practices in all activities
? Performs related tasks as deemed necessary by the principal or designee
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or
ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with
disabilities, who are otherwise qualified, to perform the essential functions.
This is light work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10
pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects; work
requires standing, walking, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for
expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive
information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing
written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing
general surroundings and activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor's degree preferred
? Must have a minimum of 30 semester hours from an accredited institution of higher learning, verified by transcript
Salary Rate Range : $125
