What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Crew Member position at Portside Landscapes & Property Management?
Seeking F/T Landscape Maintenance Crew member starting immediately.
The ideal Candidate will:
-Come prepared for work everyday
-Love being outside (in all outdoor weather conditions)
-Have knowledge of how to use all types of equipment & different skills (mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, skid steer, compactors, dump trucks, trailering, pruning, gardening, mulching, hardscapes, carpentry, etc)
-Have a clean drivers license with reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be able to drive dump truck and trailer
-Knowledge or desire to plow, snow blow and shovel during winter months
-Other winter work includes handyman services, painting, site work, maintenance.
-Have field repair or shop repair/maintenance knowledge is a plus.
-Have basic plant knowledge is a plus
-Like to perform a variety of tasks
-Be reliable & take pride in the finish product of their work
-Like fast paced work environments
-No smoking on designated work locations (zero tolerance for any drug use)
-Must be able to pass background check
-Must be able to sit, squat, stand & kneel for long hours, push, pull, reach & lift over 50lbs without over extending yourself
Hours are generally:
8:00am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday (Occasional weekend work & overtime available)
Winter hours vary based on jobs and snow events.
Company tee shirts, long sleeves and sweatshirts provided.
Pay based on experience-$18-$25/ hr
