Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales and Catering Manager at the Porto Vista Hotel, located in Little Italy, San Diego. The manager will be responsible for generating and managing sales leads, building client relationships, and developing detailed catering plans for events held at the hotel. Responsibilities include preparing proposals and contracts, ensuring superior guest experiences, collaborating with internal teams, overseeing event execution, and maintaining a strong focus on achieving revenue goals. The ideal candidate will represent the hotel professionally while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Sales and business development skills, including lead generation and account management
- Knowledge of event planning, catering operations, and event execution
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively
- Experience in contract negotiation, creating proposals, and budget management
- Proficiency in event management software and general computer applications
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Previous experience in the hospitality or event management industry is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
