- Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care.
- Provides direct care to patients in accordance with existing protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Contributes to the assessment of the patient’s health status by collecting, recording, and reporting objective and subjective data.
- Timely, consistently, and accurately documents all patient interactions.
- Works effectively with providers and patients to schedule surgeries, imaging, lab, etc.
- Completes pre-authorization for all procedures or testing to ensure effective reimbursement.
- Answers phones and responds to messages in a timely manner.
- Communicates and interacts with all customers (patients, visitors, co-workers, administrative staff, and physicians) in a positive and supportive manner.
Job Requirements
- High School or GED.
- Current CNA Certification in the State of Idaho.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- 1 year of experience in acute or long-term care.
