The Assistant Dean is a part-time position that works closely with the Lower School Division Director to foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered environment. This position plays a key role in supporting student well-being and upholding community expectations through a restorative practices approach. The Assistant Dean also provides specific support in scheduling during the summer months to ensure the smooth functioning of the Lower School for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate has flexibility in their schedule allowing time to meet with students and communicate with colleagues and parents as needed to follow up regarding student concerns.
Responsibilities:
Support student discipline using a restorative practices approach that emphasizes reflection, accountability, and community building- Meet with students as needed to address concerns and provide guidance
- Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and parents regarding student matters and follow-up actions
- Maintain organized and accurate records of meetings, student interactions, and next steps
- Collaborate closely with the Lower School Division Director on student support
- Ensure timely follow-up on student-related concerns and action items
- Work with the Lower School Division Director to develop the Early Childhood and Lower School schedules for the 2026–2027 school year during the summer months
- Assist with reviewing and editing report card comments
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation:
$10,000 yearly stipend for the 2026-2027 academic year
