Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position with the following available schedules:
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 1:30pm-12am
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 1:30pm-12am
- Some holidays required
- $25-28/hour, commensurate with experience and licensure
As a Veterinary Assistant - Urgent Care, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our urgent care department runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will:
- Safely handle and restrain patients
- Assist with radiographs, lab sample collection, and basic lab work (PCV/TP, smears, urinalysis)
- Monitor and record patient vitals, alerting the medical team to any abnormalities
- Support technicians and veterinarians in patient monitoring, anesthetic induction and recovery
- Keep treatment areas as well as equipment clean and organized
- Provide excellent communication with clients and contribute to a collaborative team culture
- Experience as a veterinary assistant
- Prior experience or interest in Urgent Care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A team-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using veterinary software systems
- A compassionate, proactive, and collaborative approach to veterinary care
Salary : $25 - $28
