Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Communications Coordinator to join our new football team. This role is essential in enhancing our organization's goals and engagement through social media, press conferences, and athlete interviews. The ideal candidate for this position is familiar with every social media platform, understand simple writing and editing skills, along with a passion for storytelling and media relations. The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Communications and the Media/Public Relations team to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. We are primarily recruiting externally to bring in fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
Duties
- Develop and implement communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases, newsletters, and content creation
- Manage social media accounts, creating short, engaging content that aligns with our audience and promotes our brand.
- Research trends on social media that are popular and the public is familiar with.
- Create relationships with athletes to allow for a more personal connection to the staff and players.
- Assist in organizing events, press conferences and public speaking engagements to promote the organization’s mission.
- Review and revise interview questions, and social media posts to ensure they are clear, concise, and accurate.

Pay: $49,107.27 - $60,139.93 per year
