Position Summary
Portland State University’s Department of History invites applicants with expertise and experience to teach undergraduate courses in history. Preference in, though not limited to, core areas of American history.
Minimum Qualifications
M.A. in History.
Successful completion of a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in History.
Previous teaching experience at a community college or university.

Contributes to a culture of environmental stewardship, practices resource conservation, and actively works toward achieving long-term sustainability goals.

At Portland State University, all employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner which maintains a safe, respectful, and productive environment for faculty, students, administrators, and staff. Compensation Adjunct faculty are paid per credit hour, per the AFT Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary may be adjusted above the minimum rates based on qualifications and experience.
