End Date: Mid/Late September 2026 (Depending on playoffs)
Pay: Stipend
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous media relations & broadcasting experience required
- MUST be available for the full duration of the position
- Computer literate (knowledge of Word and Excel are a must)
- Knowledge of Photoshop & InDesign preferred
- Experience with Social Media Marketing
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Team player and friendly personality
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task with little supervision
Duties:
- Produce in-studio road broadcasts.
- Opportunity for play-by-play and/or color on the Sea Dogs Radio Network during home games.
- Interview players for feature stories, pre-game radio guests and Portland Sea Dogs Podcast
- Opportunity to host pre and postgame show.
- Write game recaps
- Coordinate interview requests with the media and the players.
- Assist in writing and distributing press releases
- Assist in producing daily game notes
- Distribute daily game notes, stats, rosters, and lineups to press box and clubhouses.
- Gather lineups and distribute to clubhouses, press box, and staff.
- Assist in the maintenance of the team website
- Assist in maintaining social networking sites; Facebook, X, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
- Upkeep on all statistical archives throughout the years (milestones, team records, etc.)
- Assist in gathering player headshots.
- Organize photo archives throughout the season
- Set-up Press Box including cleaning, stats, and refill cooler.
- Help oversee the press box
- Occasionally assist with food delivery to press box
- Maintain player information sheets with contact information throughout the season.
- Assist in the production of team baseball card set.
- Coordinate players for the Sea Dogs Autograph table
- Continue to cultivate potential story ideas, upcoming promotions, player achievements, etc for the media.
- Assist lead broadcaster
- Assist with tarp duties
- Other duties as assigned.
