Placement Nanny Position Details
A warm and attentive family in Tigard is seeking a reliable, nurturing nanny to begin as soon as possible! This is a long-term position (1 year) focused on providing dedicated care for their 6-month-old baby.
Schedule
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday's 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (21 hours)
About the Family
The family values a structured, respectful, and calm home environment. They are seeking a nanny who is patient, kind, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a thoughtful and proactive approach to infant care.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving care for a 6-month-old infant
- Support age-appropriate developmental milestones through interactive, engaging care and activties
- Follow and assist with sleep routines, including supporting independent sleep habits/training
- Prepare, wash, and sterilize bottles
- Assist with introduction of solid foods
Maintain cleanliness of baby-related areas:
- Baby laundry
- Sanitizing bottles and feeding items
- Wiping down changing station and restocking diapers
- Diapering and hygiene care
Baby focused childcare duties will change as baby grows, so someone who is adaptable!
Maintain a screen-free environment for both child and caregiver during working hours (not glued to phone/social media, but near you for emergencies and communication with family)
Household Notes
- Care is solely for their 6 month old. An older brother is typically at school during these hours, but home in the morning for the first 20 minutes!
- The home is multi-generational, with grandparents living on a separate floor. Occasional interaction may occur, but they are respectful of boundaries.
- No Pets
Ideal Candidate
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to long-term care
- Strong communicator who is proactive and detail-oriented (the family appreciates frequent updates and communication)
- Naturally engaging, nurturing, and responsive to infant needs
- Maintains excellent hygiene and a clean, organized work style
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required

We're hiring professional, responsible nannies who are passionate about working with children and ready to build strong, long-term relationships with families.
- Experienced Caregivers: Minimum 2 years of professional childcare experience (nannying, daycare, teaching, etc). 1 year of experience can be substituted for related education.
- CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain).
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with parents, follow care plans and update parents at end of day or throughout.
- Reliable and Professional: Punctual, trustworthy, and ready to work with high-quality families.
- Reliable Transportation: Willing to commute within the Portland metro and surrounding suburbs if doing on-call/maintained care with various families.
- Background Check Required: All applicants must pass a national background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 per hour
