Placement Nanny Position Details
Location: NE Portland
Start: As soon as they find the right fit!
Children: 7-month-old
Schedule: is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00/3:30 PM (18-20 hours weekly)
Placement Details:
A warm and welcoming family is seeking a playful, experienced nanny to care for their 7-month-old daughter, Enid, three days per week.
Their 7-month old is a joyful, social baby who loves music, playtime, and stroller walks to the nearby park. She is exclusively breastfed and does not use bottles or pacifiers. Mom will nurse her as needed throughout the day, so strong communication around feeding and nap transitions is essential.
Ideal Nanny:
- Experienced with infants, especially ages 6–12 months
- Knowledgeable about developmental milestones and creating enriching, age-appropriate activities
- High-energy, engaging, and loves to sing, play, and explore
- Comfortable with stroller walks and safely navigating stairs
- Respectful of a work-from-home parent and collaborative in communication
- Comfortable with three friendly dogs in the home
Home Environment:
- Mom works from a home office upstairs and enjoys taking breaks to spend time with baby
- The home includes a porch with a few stairs; stroller navigation is required
- No household duties expected beyond basic tidying after meals and play

We're hiring professional, responsible nannies who are passionate about working with children and ready to build strong, long-term relationships with families.
- Experienced Caregivers: Minimum 2 years of professional childcare experience (nannying, daycare, teaching, etc). 1 year of experience can be substituted for related education.
- CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain).
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with parents, follow care plans and update parents at end of day or throughout.
- Reliable and Professional: Punctual, trustworthy, and ready to work with high-quality families.
- Reliable Transportation: Willing to commute within the Portland metro and surrounding suburbs if doing on-call/maintained care with various families.
- Background Check Required: All applicants must pass a national background check.
