Placement Information:

• Located in Lake Oswego. Both parents work from home. Dad works from a basement office, and Mom works upstairs, giving the nanny full use of the main floor.
• Older brother attends school and does not require care.
• Primary care is for the 6-month old boy at time of hire.
• Orange cat who is old and friendly.

Position Details

• This is a temporary full-time placement running from September 30 (flexible for the right fit), through mid February.
• 41 hours per week (Overtime for anything above 40)
• Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

About Baby and Care

• The baby is happy and easygoing and will be entering the rolling, crawling, and milestone-heavy stage.
• Activities may include floor play, reading, walks, and other age-appropriate developmental activities.
• He is formula-fed and beginning baby-led weaning. The family would love someone who is comfortable supporting food transitions and introducing minimally prepared foods.
• He currently takes two naps per day, typically in the mid-morning and early afternoon. The family follows his sleep needs.

Ideal Nanny

• Warm, Gentle, Loving, Calm, Fun, Easygoing, and Reliable.
• Have experience with infants and developmental transitions and feel comfortable supporting sleep training and baby-led weaning.
• Easy day-to-day communication. The parents will respect the nanny’s space while working but would like to have a comfortable relationship where they can occasionally pop in during breaks.
• The ideal nanny enjoys keeping up with an increasingly mobile, happy chill baby. They should fit naturally into a peaceful, happy household and be a non-smoker.

We're hiring professional, responsible nannies who are passionate about working with children and ready to build strong, long-term relationships with families.

• Experienced Caregivers: Minimum 2 years of professional childcare experience (nannying, daycare, teaching, etc). 1 year of experience can be substituted for related education.
• CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain).
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with parents, follow care plans and update parents at end of day or throughout.
• Reliable and Professional: Punctual, trustworthy, and ready to work with high-quality families.
• Reliable Transportation: Willing to commute within the Portland metro and surrounding suburbs if doing on-call/maintained care with various families.
• Background Check Required: All applicants must pass a national background check.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 41.0 per week

Work Location: In person
