Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our dry-cleaning team. This position requires strong customer service skills as well as the ability to safely operate a company van for pick-up and delivery of customer garments and items to and from the store. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and hold a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers professionally and courteously.
- Receive, tag, and process incoming dry-cleaning and laundry orders accurately.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in person or by phone.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter and work area.
- Safely operate the company van to pick up and deliver garments/items to and from the store.
- Load, transport, and unload customer items while ensuring accuracy and care.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules.
- Maintain accurate payments.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with additional shop duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior customer service experience required (retail, hospitality, or related field).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport items up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
- Combination of front-counter retail environment and driving duties.
- Requires standing for extended periods and performing light to moderate physical activity.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Monday through Saturday/Store Hours
