What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sweeper Truck Driver position at Porter's Parking Area Maintenance?
Porter’s Parking Area Maintenance is looking for a self-motivated individual to join our parking lot sweeping team full time! We are a full-service maintenance sweeping company with 40 years in business. Our work consists of overnight parking lot sweeping at retail shopping centers and malls.
This position is for nights and weekends. If you cannot work that schedule, please do not apply. The shift for this position is from 9:00pm-5:00am or earlier or later. End time varies depending on the schedule.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently and motivated to do quality work. As a sweeper driver you are required to clean parking lots by operating a sweeper truck and using a hand-held leaf blower to blow out debris to the truck. You will also need to hand pick any trash in the islands with picker. You are required to change can liners when necessary. You will need to perform minor mechanical checks of trucks & equipment.
Driver requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and must have had a license for 3 years
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must be tech savvy in order to use the cell phone for required app logins
- Have reliable transportation to get to and from work
- CDL not required
- Valid DOT medical card is a plus but not required, if you do not have a DOT card you will be required to take a DOT physical and drug screen
- Good driving record (no dui's, no suspensions)
- Mechanical ability will help
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to follow directions and read maps
