Porter Road Pet Care is hiring dependable, hard-working team members to care for both dogs and cats in our boarding and daycare facility. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

If youre someone who shows up on time, stays busy, and takes pride in doing things rightthis could be a great fit.

• Supervising dog playgroups and monitoring behavior
• Feeding and caring for both dogs and cats
• Cleaning kennels, cat condos, and common areas
• Monitoring health, appetite, and overall wellbeing
• Administering medications (with training)
• Handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Providing individualized care for cats (including shy or stressed cats)
• Assisting with bathing and basic grooming prep
• Communicating clearly with team members and management

• Reliable and punctual (this is non-negotiable)
• Comfortable handling large dogs and independent cats
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Not afraid of cleaning, noise, or physical work
• Strong attention to detail (feeding, meds, behavior notes)
• Team player with a positive, no-drama attitude
• Weekend and holiday availability required

• You just want to play with animals all day
• Youre uncomfortable cleaning urine, feces, or other messes
• You struggle with showing up consistently or on time
• Youre easily overwhelmed in a busy, fast-paced environment
• You prefer sitting or low-activity work

• You enjoy staying busy and working on your feet

• Youre interested in animal care, veterinary, or grooming fields
• Youre calm, observant, and good at reading animal behavior
