As a Juvenile Detention Officer, you will work directly with youth in a structured environment while helping maintain safety, accountability, and positive daily routines. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in criminal justice, probation, law enforcement, corrections, social work, psychology, education, or working with at-risk youth.
No previous detention or corrections experience is required. Training is provided.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and interact with youth throughout their daily activities
- Help maintain a safe, secure, and structured environment
- Build appropriate and professional relationships with residents
- Encourage positive behavior and accountability
- Assist with recreation, meals, education, and other activities
- Respond to behavioral situations and help de-escalate conflicts
- Complete reports and required documentation
- Work as part of a team to maintain the safety of residents and staff

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid driver's license, and successfully complete required background and pre-employment screening.

Schedule
