Lead Carpenter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead to oversee and coordinate a wide range of construction and restoration projects. This role is vital in ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Lead will serve as a key team leader, guiding his crews through complex tasks such as framing, carpentry, drywall installation, roofing, and restoration work. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope
• Lead skilled trades including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, concrete forming, roofing, and siding
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution
• Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
• Perform heavy lifting and assist with material handling to maintain workflow efficiency
• Oversee quality control during fixture installation, door hanging, cabinet setup, and masonry work
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards across all project phases
• Conduct restoration tasks such as water damage remediation, mold removal, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration
• Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects including flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, metal stud framing, and electrical experience
• Manage rebar installation, metal fabrication, drywall finishing, caulking, and other specialized tasks as needed
• Maintain detailed documentation of project progress and communicate effectively with clients and team members

Skills

• Extensive experience in construction estimating to accurately assess project costs and resources
• Proficiency in carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, cabinetry installation, door hanging, and fixture setup
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for precise project execution
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools (including CNC machinery), heavy lifting equipment and fabrication tools
• Practical experience in various construction trades such as masonry, roofing, siding installation (including stucco), electrical systems, plumbing, flooring installation & tile laying
• Familiarity with restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration
• Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards on construction sites
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to construction materials or metal fabrication is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards troubleshooting onsite issues
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients alike

Pay: $35.00 - $44.00 per hour
