We are a friendly, patient-focused pediatric and orthodontic practice dedicated to creating healthy, confident smiles for children and teens. We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience who is either knowledgeable in pediatric dentistry or eager to expand their skills in this area.
Position Overview
Join our team and play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care in a positive and supportive environment. We are looking for an individual who can confidently assist our doctors during a variety of procedures while helping ensure a comfortable and seamless experience for both patients and parents.
Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with one or two Fridays per month as needed. Schedule flexibility is important for this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during orthodontic and pediatric dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take digital X-rays, impressions, and clinical photographs
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment instructions
- Support pediatric patients with a calm, positive, and caring approach
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Contribute to a welcoming, team-oriented office atmosphere
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience required
- Pediatric dental experience is preferred, but willingness to learn is welcomed
- RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented personality
- Experience with digital imaging and dental software preferred
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

- Our office has multiple locations throughout West Michigan, including Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore area. From time to time, you may be asked to travel to another office location to provide support or attend team events. Would you be comfortable with occasional travel between offices?
