Position Details
Portage Path is currently accepting applications for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Outpatient Akron Clinic.
This position will provide direct nursing care to individuals receiving primary care and behavioral health services, along with administrative and clinical support to our multidisciplinary treatment teams. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, organized, collaborative, and committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN or LPN license in the State of Ohio
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience in primary care, psychiatric, or behavioral health settings preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Commitment to providing compassionate, person-centered care
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate nursing care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Conduct nursing assessments within the scope of practice
- Monitor vital signs and assess for medication side effects and adverse reactions
- Collect and process blood and urine specimens as needed
- Process medication refill requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain organization, safety, and regulatory compliance within the medication room
- Complete required clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards
- Provide additional nursing and administrative support to facilitate efficient outpatient services

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
