Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Experienced Seasonal Cook to join our culinary team for the busy summer season (May through September). This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate cook who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment and enjoys delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and execute high-quality dishes using a wide range of professional cooking techniques, including sautéing, grilling, roasting, braising, poaching, frying, and garde manger/presentation work.
· Assist in the daily preparation of menu items for the main dining room, private events, banquets, and outdoor dining venues.
· Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency. - Follow recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines while demonstrating creativity when appropriate.
· Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
· Uphold strict standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
· Monitor inventory and communicate any product needs to the chef / team.
· Perform other kitchen duties as assigned to support smooth operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Minimum 3–5 years of professional cooking experience in high-volume or upscale restaurants, hotels, or country clubs preferred.
· Strong working knowledge and proficiency in cooking techniques and methods.
· Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed throughout the season.
· Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are essential.
· Current ServSafe Food Handler certification a plus.
· Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for culinary excellence.
