Responsibilities
- Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available apartments, highlighting features and benefits to foster interest.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, including data entry and contract signing using property management software such as Entrata.
- Explain lease terms, rental policies, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 programs clearly to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Conduct thorough background checks, verify income documentation, and ensure all legal administrative requirements are met for each applicant.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, tenant interactions, and property availability through organized filing systems and data management tools.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate property upkeep and address resident concerns promptly.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to prospective tenants to enhance occupancy rates while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 housing programs, and Fair Housing regulations ensures compliance and informed decision-making.
- Proficiency with Entrata, or similar property management systems for data entry and reporting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in sales, negotiation, conflict management, and customer service to foster positive relationships with residents and prospects.
- Legal administrative experience related to lease contracts, landlord-tenant law, or facilities management enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Office experience with phone etiquette, filing systems, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and general administrative tasks supports smooth daily operations.
