Inside Sales Representative

Inside Sales RepresentativeOur client, a global manufacturer, is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join their Sales team in Wood Dale, Illinois. In this role, you'll manage and grow relationships with existing accounts, support new business development, and become the go-to person our customers rely on for products, pricing, and problem-solving. You'll gain deep product and industry knowledge while building a long-term career with a company that values innovation and originality. Experience selling into tool-related or industrial accounts is a big plus.

What You'll Do

• Manage and grow existing accounts, building sustainable relationships with key contacts through regular phone and email contact

• Negotiate prices and contract terms with clients as needed

• Follow up on open inquiries and quotations, keeping the CRM up to date

• Conduct post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Prepare periodic reports on client needs, interests, and competitor activity

• Handle sales inquiries and quotation administration, invoicing, filing, and inventory control

• Support Live Chat coverage and participate in marketing activities such as trade shows

• Travel occasionally (a few times a year) for onsite training, trade shows, or annual inventory

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience with SAP, Salesforce CRM, or industrial sales is a plus

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work across all levels of an organization

• A consultative, problem-solving approach to customer needs

• Proactive, results-driven, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfortable learning CRM software

• Valid driver's license

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English

Work Environment

This is an office-based role with standard office equipment. Some standing, walking, and lifting/moving up to 25 lbs. may be required. Occasional domestic business travel may be required, and hours beyond the standard schedule may be needed at times.
