What are the responsibilities and job description for the Working Kitchen Manager position at Port Susan Camping Club?
HOURS:
- Required to work up to 30 hours per week.
- Overtime is not expected, but may be required occassionally.
- May be required to work Holidays, weekends, and evenings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 21 years old.
- Valid Washington State drivers license.
- Experience with a cash register.
- Food prep experience preffered.
- Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Pleasant attitude and neat appearance.
- At least 15 years of experience as a chef or sous chef.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card upon hire.
- This position requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the work shift.
Must be able to lift, stack, and maneuver objects between 30-50 pounds.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Contribute to menu development and planning, submitting new additions or modifications to the menu.
- Ensure availability of ingredients and manage stock levels to avoid shortages.
- Regularly check ingredient freshness and discard outofdate items.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring efficient workflow and timely execution of orders.
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- May be responsible for training new kitchen staff.
- Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards as well as safe food handling and preparation in accordance with applicable health codes and regulations.
- Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering food supplies, track stock levels, and minimize waste.
